A calling without borders.

OUR PURPOSE

More than an education.
A life of formation.

WITS exists to equip people with theological understanding and a passion for mission.

Our international distance learning program reaches pastors, ministers, and laypeople in communities where access to theological education can be limited. Donor-supported scholarships help eligible students learn while remaining connected to the places they serve.

Our Mission Statement

Washington International Theological Seminary is dedicated to equipping individuals with sound theological education and a passion for mission. Our goal is to prepare people to serve churches, ministries, and communities so that others may hear and see the Good News of Jesus Christ and experience His love in meaningful, practical ways.

All of our training programs are offered free of charge.

Our Vision Statement

Connected Learning, Missional Effectiveness, Effective Leadership

Washington International Theological Seminary equips students across the African Diaspora and beyond with theological knowledge, spiritual vitality, practical life skills, and effective leadership training.

Grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we prepare skilled, Christ-centered leaders to navigate a diverse and changing world, serve communities authentically, plant and strengthen churches, and lead cross-cultural ministries that prove the life-changing power of Christ.

Learning in community

Our students apply what they learn in churches, ministries, and their everyday vocations. International connections create opportunities to learn across cultures and strengthen local service.
